Recap

With the season cancelled in 2020 and curtailed in 2021 due to COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions, the Craigavon Cowboys played four games – two against Northern Ireland rivals Belfast Knights, losing both (30-13 and 28-13) and two against the other Belfast Premier Division team the Trojans, losing 21-20 in a game they came back from 21-0 down at halftime in, giving them hope they could win the return in People’s Park, Portadown, which they did, 41-18, with a fourth quarter blast of 27 points to finish the season on 1-3. South Dublin Panthers were also due to play friendlies against the Belfast Trojans but both were cancelled due to a large number of significant injuries to the Panthers, presumably picked up in a game versus the Knights, although no evidence of such games has been found by Eirball.
