Report
Dalhousie University Tigers and University of New Brunswick Fredericton Red Bombers alternated as Champions of the Atlantic Football League fro 2016 to 2019, with Dalhousie University winning the Moosehead Cup in 2016 and 2018, and UNB Fredericton Red Bombers winning the Cup in 2017 and 2019. [Ref: 2-5]
The Atlantic Football League was founded in 2009 by three teams Moncton Raiders, UNB Fredercicton Red Bombers and UNB Saint John Seawolves to fill a gap in Canadian Football in the Maritime Provinces, between those playing High School Football and moving on from High School Football to the CIS. [Ref: 6]
