Report
Team Ireland played its first Home International Series in Gormanston College, Co. Meath on 10 September 2016. Ireland hosted a 6-team tournament, with Great Britain, Netherlands, Sweden 1 and Sweden 2 the invited International teams, as well as Ramstein Mayhem from Germany.
Ireland were relative newcomers to International Flag Football and were up against some of the top international sides in Europe, losing their first two matches against the GB Lions and Sweden 1 by 33-6 and 33-18 respectively, before winning 34-27 in a close encounter with Sweden 2, and then again losing their last match 52-31 against the Dutch Lions, to finish in fourth place.
