Report

DCU clinched the WSCAI Women’s National Futsal Cup in 2012 in a tournament that showcased the rising talent of Ireland’s female Futsal players. Goals in the Final from Rachel Graham, Becky Walsh and Cliodhna McHugh gave DCU a 3-1 victory in a thrilling Final versus hosts IT Sligo. Deirdre Doherty scored Sligo’s goal. Inchicore College’s Jade Corrigan was named Player of the Tournament thanks to her brilliant saves which kept Inchicore College, playing with the bare minumum five players, in touch in match after match.

Other standouts were DCU’s Amy Ryan, IT Sligo’s Aileen Gilroy and Kim Flood, UCC’s Zoe Murphy and Michelle McNally and Inchicore College’s Clare Kinsella. To view match recaps, including full player lists click on the match in question.
