Scottish Youth Kitted Football 2001

In what was the first Youth Kitted American Football game in Scotland in 12 years, the Dundee Storm defeated Strathclyde Hawks 40-0 on 18th February 2001. The Hawks were renamed Clyde Valley Hawks for a match at home to Moray Firth Dolphins of Inverness at the end of April, which the Dolphins won 18-6. With the teams then participating in the British Youth American Football Association Youth Kitted League, the last fixture of an Unofficial Scottish Championship was played in Inverness in August, with Dundee Storm running out 38-6 winners. Ian Moody, a player with a possible Irish name and therefore possible Irish connection played for Dundee Storm.
