Winnipeg Blue Bombers won their second straight Grey Cup with an overtime victory at Hamilton. The Blue Bombers went into a 4-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to a Sergio Castillo Field Goal and a Liegghio Single.

Winnipeg made the score 7-0 after another Castillo FG early in the second quarter before the Tiger-Cats hit back with a Michael Domagala Field Goal and a Jeremiah Masoli Touchdown Pass to Steven Dunbar Jr. which was converted by Domagala to make it 10-7 Hamilton at the halftime whistle.

Castillo hit another Field Goal for Winnipeg early in the third quarter to level matters, and then the Ti-Cats hit the Blue Bombers for another Touchdown as Masoli this time found Brandon Banks in the Endzone from 7 yards out, which was again converted to make it 17-10. Liegghio then took a loss of 11 yards for Winnipeg, sacked in the Endzone by the Hamilton Defence as Hamilton stretched their lead to 19-10 at the end of the third.

Michael Domagala then hit a 10 yard Field Goal early in the Fourth Quarter to put Hamilton 22-10 up. Then the Blue Bombers found another gear, scoring 15 unanswered points to go 25-22 up with minutes to play. Castillo hit another Field Goal before the Blue Bombers got their first touchdown of the game, Zach Collaros finding Nic Demski from 29 yards at the 17 yard line, which Demski ran in to make it 22-20 after a successful conversion kick by Castillo. A single was added on the ensuing kickoff when the ball was declared dead after going out the back of the endzone. Another Castillo Field Goal and another single from the kickoff made the score 25-22, but Michael Domagala hit a 13 yard Field Goal for Hamilton with 6 seconds left to send the game into overtime.

Winnipeg won the match in the 5th Quarter with a 13 yard Zach Collaros pass to Darvin Adams in the Endzone and the ensuing 2 point catch from Rasheed Bailey in the Endzone made it 33-25 Winnipeg. A penalty on the first play after the resulting kickoff left Hamilton in a 2nd and 20 yards situation. Masoli attempted a pass from midfield which was deflected twice before being intercepted by Kyrie Wilson to end the game.
