Recap
In a battle of two teams who both won their opening games, Winnipeg Blue Bombers survived a late Toronto Argonauts onslaught to emerge winners.
Rasheed Bailey opened the scoring for the Blue Bombers in the first quarter, catching a 35 yard pass from Zach Collaros in the endzone with a little over five minutes left in the quarter. Tyler Crapinga made it 10-0 with just five seconds left in the clock in the first half.
Toronto fought back, however, John White bulldozing his way in for a 30 yard rushing touchdown to bring the Argonauts to within a succesful field goal, however Zach Collaros again connected with one of his wide receivers for a long touchdown pass, this time to Nic Demski for 50 yards tio give the Blue Bombers a 10 point cushion again. Tyler Crapinga added this second Field Goal of gthe day with 2:11 left, after Nick Arbuckle threw a costly interception which gave Winnipeg the ball back.
Willie Jefferson added insult to injury late in the game when stripping Arbuckle, the back up quarterback for the Argos who was brought in for Ryan Dinwiddie in the third quarter, of the ball ending the last Argonauts hope.
Collaros went 32 of 40 for 292 yards, the second game in a row he surpassed 200 yards passing.
