Cork Rebels, helped in no small part by “Best Defense Man” award winner Dave Healy won the Inline Hockey Ireland Senior League Playoff Final in 2004-05 with a 4-3 victory over East Coast Blaze from Newtownabbey in the Final which they hosted. The Playoff Tournament featured 5 teams: Cork Rebels, East Coast Blaze, Glanmire Rockets, Kilkenny Bandits and Celtic Wolves (Midleton). Bryan Thirsk of Glanmire Rockets was named Playoff MVP (Most Valuable Players).
