Racquet Sports originated in England and have been played in Ireland for over 100 years.

Currently the following Racquet Sports are played in Ireland:

Badminton, Tennis, Squash, Table Tennis, Racketlon, Real Tennis, Racquetball, Padel

About the Racquet Sports

Racketlon: the Racquet Sport where you play one set of each of the four Racquet Sports in a match i.e one set of Tennis, one set of Badminton, one set of Squash & one set of Table Tennis.

Real Tennis: The Original version of Tennis as played by Kings in the Middle Ages. It is played on an assymetrical court with a gallery with openings down one side and walls up to the edge of the playing area.

Padel: A cross between Tennis & Table Tennis, played on a Tennis-like court with a fence up to the edge of the playing area, and played with a large Tennis-Racquet sized Paddle, like a Table Tennis Paddle.
