Report

Glasgow Lions won the inaugural Capital Bowl in 1986, and repeated in 1987. They did not enter the next two years, which were won by Glasgow Diamonds and Musselburgh Magnums. In 1990, Glasgow Lions again won the bowl against an Edinburgh side, the Phoenix.

The Scottish American Football Capital Bowl was a weekend tournament played annually in preseason at Edinburgh’s Meadowbank Stadium. Over 4,000 fans turned up to watch the Final in 1986.
