North Japan’s Kizuna Bowl was won by Sapporo Bengals, representing Hokkaido, three years in a row from 2011 to 2013, after which it was won by Sendai Black Boltz, repfresenting Tohoku, who lost then lost four Kizuna Bowls in a row to Sapporo Bengals (2015), North Gamblers (2016) and Kulms Eagles (2017 and 2018) before again winning the Bowl in 2019 over Kulms Eagles.
