Report
Dublin Rebels running back Pete McMahon (number 26) spent 2020 playing with the Pori Bears in the Finnish American Football Association (SAJL) Division-1, the second highest level in Finland, which is a Professional League and one of the top leagues in Europe. While there he led Division 1 in tackles and helped the Pori Bears make the Playoffs where they lost in the Semi-Finals to Kotka Eagles. [Reference: 14-15].
The Kuopio Steelers won the Maple Bowl (Vaahteramalja) 21-0 over the Helsinki Wolverines to become Finnish Champions. United Newland Crusaders won 20-10 against Kotka Eagles in the Spagettimalja (Spaghetti Bowl), the Division I Championship, and the Pirkkala Spartans (Iron Bowl – Rautamalja) and Hämeenlinna Tigers won the third and fourth levels (Division II and III).
