Report
Six National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Colleges travelled to Europe under the Global Football banner in 2019, as part of the 150th Anniversary of College Football (American Football).
Northern Ohio Polar Bears scraped a 9-7 win against German Football League team Allgau Comets from Kempten, while on the same weekend, Sewanee Tigers from Tennessee, who had played in Ireland, left from a visit to Greece to play Lazio Ducks in Rome, 60-16.
There were wins also for Muhlenberg Mules from Pennsylvania over Guelfi Firenze from Tuscany in Italy, and Luther College Norse from Illinois over Catalan side Uroloki. On 8 June 2019, Graz Giants, who have previously won the Eurobowl, Europe’s Super Bowl, registered a rare win for European teams over NCAA Colleges, with a 28-25 win against Elmhurst Bluejays of Illinois. The tour wrapped up with another Illinois College, North Central Cardinals defeating Czech team Prague Black Panthers.
