Report
The National Football League played its first ever regular season game outside of the USA in Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca in 2005, between the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers, with the Cardinals winning 31-14. A gap of 11 years followed before the next regular season game in Mexico, again one between a Californian team and a Southwest USA team, with the Oakland Raiders defeating the Houstin Texans.
The next match again featured the Raiders, as they lost to the New England Patriots in 2017, before another California-Southwest USA match-up pitted the Kansas City Chiefs against the Los Angeles Chargers, with the Chiefs victorious.
