Report
The Volleyball Association of Ireland was rebranded Volleyball Ireland in 2017, and the Premier Men League was won by Ballymun Patriots, their last year in the League. DVC Barvo were runners-up and Tallaght Rockets third.
There was a large-scale reorganisation of the Divisions for 2018-19, with the Premier Men losing the Patriots, Naas Eagles, Munster Thunder and Garda. With IT Carlow an Santry Eagles being promoted it left a 6-team Premier League, which wad won by UCD with a perfect 10-0 30 Points record, dropping only four sets.
Santry Eagles were replaced by DCU Abú and Galway VC for the 2019-20 season which was cut short by the COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic, which led to the cancellation of all sporting activity. [Reference: 5]
