In 2013 Ireland won all five matches finishing four points ahead of both France and England. Ireland had been steadily improving, having finished fourth in both 2007 and 2008, the Irish Women then came third four years running from 2009 to 2012 before their big triumph in 2013. In 2014 it was back to third, and again in 2016 after victory in the 2015 Championship.
