Report
The Irish American Football League elected to play in the Combined Gridiron League of the United Kingdom & Ireland in 1989, playing in two Divisions: Duke Premier & Baron 1st (The British & Irish 3rd & 4th Levels). Dublin Celts were narrowly defeated in the Quarter-Finals pf the Duke Premier Playoffs and A26 Bulldogs, from Antrim, reached the Semi-Finals of the Baron 1st Division where they lost 5-0 to Severn Valley Warlords from Gloucester.
The League returned to being an Irish-only League in 1990, but the Dublin Celts continued playing in the British Second Division, the NCMMA.
