Report

Underdogs London Capitals shocked the Tiger Bay warriors, from Cardiff in Wales in the JGL Junior Bowl in 1993. the Junior Gridiron League Junior League was a Two Touch League for 9-14 year olds in the South of Britain. Two Touch was a variation on Flag Football whereby the ball carrier was tackled by placing two hands on him or her.

The Tiger Bay Warriors had finished top of the League with a 6-0 Wins-Losses record, and the Capitals had squeaked into the they had finished level with Northants Storm on 3-3. Kent Panthers were the other team in the league.

The Final itself was close, with a scoreless first quarter before the Capitals MVP Adam Seoudy completed an 80-yard touchdown drive with a TD pass to Wide Receiver John Buckett. Tiger Bay, however, drew level on MVP Jamie Roberts’ touchdown reception.

The Capitals had the last say, with a safety (worth two points) to wrap up the title.
