Quarterback Billy Boyd inspired Labatt Spartans to two touchdowns and a 12-3 halftime lead at East Side Jets in Annadale Sports Grounds. His incisive passing and good hands from his runningbacks saw the Spartans run out 30-9 winners thanks to two touchdowns each from Brendan Faulkner and George Jamison, and one from Lawrence Boskett. It was the Spartans first win of the season as they improved to 1-2. The Jets fell to 0-3 but managed their first points of the season.
