CAAFA Central Asian American Football Association 2008

Recap

After Tom Kelly, the intrepid American with the Irish name had set up the Central Asian American Football Association (CAAFA) in April 2002, Teams from Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan and Almaty in Kazakhstan played each other as well as American and World All-Star teams from players based in Central Asia. By 2008 Evangel University from USA had toured Central Asia playing teams from both countries and a second and third team had been set up in Bishkek.

The four-game Challenge Series in 2008 now included one game solely between two Bishkek teams (see CAAFA Bishkek Series for more details) and in Autumn 2008 a Bishkek 3-Team Tournament. The Almaty-Bishkek Challenge Series in 2008 went the Almaty KIMEP Titans way, winning all three games in the series.
