Report

Each of the National Football League teams played a game in Preseason 1942 against either the College All-Stars (0-2 Wins-Losses), Western Army All-Stars (2-3), or Eastern Army All-Stars (2-1). The NFL teams record read 6-4 Wins Losses. Playing the NFL teams before heading over to Europe or the Pacific just before entering World War II must have given the Soldiers a huge morale boost.

Some of these games were played at Major Stadiums such as Soldiers Field in Chicago (home of the Bears, 101,000 capacity crowd attended) or cities without Major League Pro Teams, such as Syracuse (NY), Baltimore (Maryland), Denver (Colorado), Los Angeles (California), Boston (Massachusetts) and Milwaukee (Wisconsin).
