The Cork Admirals 2nds outran the Dublin Dragons and a combination of balanced temperament and ability to take scoring opportunities saw them win comfortably 42-0. Martin Mulrey, Shame Galway and Ross McCullagh each scored a touchdown, but it was wide receiver Dave Barry that did most of the damage to the Dragons, as he found the endzone of three occasions. Season Report

Cork Admirals 2nds won the Christy Farrell Memorial Tournament on 2nd September 2007, held in Edenderry Rugby Club, Co. Offaly. They beat the Edenderry Soldiers 28-0 in the opening game and then defeated Dublin dragons 2nds 42-0. They were scheduled to take part in a third match against the Tallaght Outlaws 2nds but a combination of a serious injury to a player and the torrential rain making the playing surface unsafe led to the rest of the tournament being cancelled and the Admirals declared winners. Wide Receiver Dave Barry was the star for the Admirals, scoring a total of four touchdowns.

Report

The American Patriot League was founded in 2018 by the World Professional Football Association with the intention of starting an 8-team spring league, with teams playing a 14-game regular season, followed by three rounds of playoffs culminating in the Championship game, to be held in the city of Canton, Ohio, where the National Football League was founded in 1920.

The teams were to be in Daytona Beach (Florida), Mobile (Alabama), Houston (Texas), Shreveport (Louisiana), Sacramento (California), Canton (Ohio) and Ypsilanti (Michigan) with an eighth team to be announced as of 5 June 2020. Teams were to be arranged in two Divisions: Liberty and Freedom.

There had been no updates on the site or social media since a post on Facebook on January 18, 2019, announcing teams 5 and 6 (Houston and Canton). The management team included former NFL Players Bob Golic (13 years NFL) and Marques Ogden (5 years NFL).

Report

The Swiss American Football Federation (SAFV / Schweizerischer American Football Verband / Federation Suisse de Football Americain / Federazione Svizzera Football Americano) was established in 1986.

The first Championship (Meisterschaft) featured 8 teams in two divisons, Ost (East) and West, with Lugano Seagulls defeating Zurich Renegades 9-6 in the Final. Two new teams were added in 1987, and Zurich Renegades got their revenge, defeating Lugano Seagulls 8-0 in the Final.

The Nationalliga was split into two Leagues A and B for 1988, with Zurich Renegades repeating as Champions, winning the Swiss Super Bowl, as it was now known 14-8 against Bienna Jets. 1989 was the first year there was no Zurich Renegades in the Swiss Super Bowl, as St. Gallen Raiders defeated Basilisk Mean Machine 35-22. St. Gallen were the champions again in 1990, beating Bulach Giants 36-0 in Swiss Super Bowl ’90.

Report

The Champions Professional Indoor Football League was created on August 10, 2012, when representatives from six cities met in Council Bluffs, IA, with the intention of forming an Indoor American Football League. The teams were Sioux City Bandits (IA), Lincoln Haymakers (NA), Wichita Wild (KS), Oklahoma Defenders (OA), Kansas City Renegades (MI) and MidMissouri Outlaws (Sedalia, MI). They were joined for their first season by Omaha Beef (NA), Salina Bombers (KS), Bloomington Edge (IS) and Kansas Koyotes (Topeka, KS). The League was based entirely within the Prairie States and Southwestern Mid-West.

Wichita Wild defeated Salina Bombers 37-24 to win the Championship Game in 2013 and in the 2014 title game they defeated Sioux City Bandits 46-41. The League lost MidMissouri Outlaws and Kansas City Renegades after the 2013 season, but gained a new team in Dodge City, nicknamed the Law.

The League merged with teams from the Lone Star Football League in 2015, becoming Champions Indoor Football.
