Recap

Irish-named running back Paul Reilly opened the scoring for Clydesdale Colts as they went on to sneak into the BAFA Budweiser League Division 1 Semi-Finals winning this Northern Quarter-Final 20-19 thanks to a missed field goal by the Washington Presidents and a one-yard rushing touchdown by Sammy Samuels called back due to a holding penalty, both in the dying seconds. It was not all luck, however, for the Colts as they successfully held Washington quarterback Jeff Rutter to just 87 yards, confounding the crotics who had the high-scoring Presidents offense, which had lit up the scoreboard scoring 488 points during the 10-game regular season.
