Report

In the light of the announcement of 13 July 2020, that the Washington Redskins are to retire their Nickname and Logo, Eirball takes a break from the past to have a brief look at what the future holds. What about expansion around the World or the Arena / Indoor Football Leagues?

Eirball would like the Indoor Football League to make the step up to Major League level, and establish an IFL Global Conference, with teams in Ireland, Scotland, Wales, North England, Brittany, Basque Country and Galicia. The Belfast Blitzers and Dublin Celts have been resurrected for this league.

The Arena Football League is resurrected with a Spring Conference and Fall Conference as a rival to the IFL.

Report

In the light of the announcement of 13 July 2020, that the Washington Redskins are to retire their Nickname and Logo, Eirball takes a break from the past to have a brief look at what the future holds. What about expansion around the World?

Eirball thinks the Canadian Football League will establish a United States Football Conference, and the Liga Football Americano and Futbol Americano Mexico south of the US border will merge, creating two Major World Football Leagues. Not to be outdone, the top European and Japanese teams make the step up to professional level, creating the Kontinental Football League, with some of the oldest European and Japanese teams such as Helsinki Rossters, Gladiatori Roma, Seagulls, and Amsterdam Crusaders becoming Major League teams.

Report

In the light of the announcement of 13 July 2020, that the Washington Redskins are to retire their Nickname and Logo, Eirball takes a break from the past to have a brief look at what the future holds. what will the Washington team be called? Where does the NFL go after this? What about expansion around the World?

Eirball is guessing that Washington Presidents will be the new team name, and that by the early 2030 eight teams will have moved to Europe, Canada, Australia and Japan. Given that the Redskins have been forced to change their name Eirball is guessing that The Kansas City Chiefs will have to too.

Eirball is also guessing that with the NFL leaving out most of Asia, Africa and South America, that a proper World Football League with teams in those continents as well as North America will start up as a Major League Rival to the NFL, and will merge with the XFL (Xtreme Football League) which has resurrected all the NFL teams which have been lost, including the Chiefs and Redskins, controversial as the XFL always is.
