Report
The European Flag Football Junior Championship is the Under 13 and Under 15 Championship for the National Teams of Europe. All games were played in Rome’s Stadio Pasquale Giannattasio. It was Coed, both boys and girls played on the same teams.
Ireland entered the Under 13 Championship and reached the Final where they lost to the Netherlands 39-13.
They had earlier won their two opening games by big margins (32-14 against Austria and 49-19 against Germany) and beaten the Netherlands in a previous pool game.
It was the best showing by any Irish American Football International team ever to that point.
