1988: Third Season – new team Antrim A26 Bulldogs played friendlies. Jordanstown Jaguars and East Side Jets did not return after disbanding halfway through 1987 season. Bangor Buccaneers became North Down Raiders but did not play in league. NI (Belfast Tennants) Giants played preseason but pulled out of regular season due to dispute over scheduling.
