RECAP

After the CAAFA – Central Asian American Football Association – was set up in 2002 by the intrepid American with the Irish name, Tom Kelly, a number of Flag Football Games were played between the KIMEP team from Almaty, Kazakhstan, and the AUK (American University Kyrgyzstan) team as well World and American Embassy Teams. By 2006 the rivalry between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan was fully fledged, with two teams fully kitted out thanks to Kelly: Bishkek BARS Leopards and Almaty KIMEP Titans. The Leopards team from Bishkek came out on top in 2006, winning both Challenge Games.
